OUR Horses

Cooper is an older gelding.  He has been in our rescue for many years.  He is a leader in our herd.  He requires an experienced individual to work with him. He is available for sponsorship.

Lindo is a very shy boy who will need an experienced horseman to work with him. He is a gated horse and is slowly learning to trust again. He is a companion-only horse due to arthritis. He is currently available for sponsorship.

Jazzy is a sweet mare.  She is green broke and takes an experienced owner.  ADOPTED

Zippo is a retired ranch and roping horse.  He takes an experienced rider.  Zippo is currently available for sponsorship.

Echo is a beautiful and loving paseo. She is super sweet and gentle.  Echo is in her late 20's but she still loves her time in the arena with her herd mates!  Echo is available for sponsorship.

Star is a beautiful Arabian former Broodmare.  She is untrained for riding.  She was given up when she was not able to have babies.  Currently available for sponsorship.

Chance is an older Gelding who needs a special person.  He is a high energy horse who is skittish with other horses and new experiences. ADOPTED

Marigold is a BLM mustang. She was given to the rescue when her previous owner could not train her. She is learning to be with people and to be in a healthy herd environment.  She is available for sponsorship.

Abby came to us a few years back when her human companion passed away.  Abby is a very sweet and loving paint horse in her 20's.  She is available for sponsorship.

Duke was once the face of the Bull radio station.   He loves being with all of our horses and humans!  Duke is a draft cross and is available for sponsorship.

Annie is a beautiful 4 year old Indian Pony who was found without a mother in the desert when she was 8 months old.  We love watching her grow and play with her herd!  She is available for sponsorship.

Dakota is a 27 year old Arabian who was born on the property.  He has lived here his whole life.  He is one of the sweetest horses you can meet.  

Zowie is our mini horse.  She came from the Bull radio station and needed a new home .  She is so cute!  

Ted is our internet sensation!  He is a former jumper who hurt his leg and his owners decided to give him up.  He is a very fun horse!

Stinker is an Arabian horse and lives up to his name!  He loves to play and will encourage the herd to pick up a toy and play!

Star is a super sweet Arabian horse who came to us after being used as a broodmare.  

Sissy was a broodmare for many years before  arriving at Good Shepherd.  She is a beautiful Arabian.

Quinn is an amazing quarter horse who arrived with his 2 brothers.  He lost not only his brothers but his human also.  He is such a loving boy.

Prince is a highly intelligent mustang who was at risk of going to slaughter.  He was saved by our rescue and we couldn't be happier!  He is amazing!

Mr. Peabody is our mini donkey.  He has been at the rescue for many years and we couldn't imagine a day without him!  

Paradise is a beautiful Appendix horse who came to us during COVID.  She is learning to trust and loves her herd.  

Oliver is a beautiful mustang and full of silliness - he came to us from another rescue.  He has learned to deal with his stifle injury and is happy in his herd.

Moses is our sweet quarter horse and loves everyone.  He is such a good boy and always wants to please his humans and horse friends.

Marshmallow is our mini mule.  She has been severely abused.  She has been warming up to one of our volunteers who takes great care of her.

Gracie is our 21 year old amazing Belgian.  She came to us from a boarding barn where she was abandoned.  She has arthritis which is now under control.  She is one of the most amazing horses ever!

Jake is an amazing ex-racehorse who is a beautiful thoroughbred.  He is super sweet.   He wears boots to help with his ringbone and thin soles.  He struts in his boots like the champ he is!

Handsome is a retired show horse.  He is VERY handsome and loves to show off his gorgeous Arabian features.

Elsa is a sweet mustang who has ears that were frozen off.  She has the mustang personality with a super sweet side. She loves people and loves being the boss of her herd!
